Refractive Lens Exchange
Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) is a procedure that removes the natural lens from the eye, replacing it with a synthetic Intraocular Lens, using state-of-the-art technology.
The implanted lens will be specifically chosen by Dr Con Moshegov to compensate for your eyes' irregularities, providing an excellent standard of vision and a solution to your vision problem, be it presbyopia, short sightedness, long sightedness and/or astigmatism.
Once implanted, the IOL will remain in place permanently, meaning a lifelong reduction in dependence on glasses and contact lenses.
The RLE procedure has the added advantage that it will prevent the formation of cataracts in later life and, for that reason, the procedure is often of particular benefit to people of 50 or older, to whom cataracts pose the greatest risk.
