After experimenting on 24 adults, they concluded, that the use of 3D glasses does not only hurt your eyes, but affects your brain as well. The excess use of 3D glasses caused visual discomfort, fatigue and headaches. Some viewers experience Epileptic strokes when they are exposed to flashing lights contained in movie content or video games.

Martin S. Bans ( Professor of visual science) stated that when watching stereo displays, the eyes focus not only at the screen but also the distance of stereo content that is in front of the screen. The Journal of Vision report states that 3D content that is viewed over a short distance, (Desktop, mobile phone) is more harmful to the eyes than that in a movie theatre. With the introduction of so many new 3D products, It is better to understand what kind of technology it is, before it starts to have effects on our health.
